The 68th Annual Meeting of the Renaissance Society of America was held on March 30 – April 2 in Dublin, Ireland. Finally, after two years since the pandemic started, the event took place in person allowing us to reconnect, face-to-face, with other researchers.
Nearly all Wednesday, March 30, focused on the three sessions of ‘Note-Taking and Annotations at Early Modern Schools and Universities’ organized by Gábor Förköli and Farkas Gábor Kiss. The students’ learning practices were pointed out by the first speaker of these panels who was Valentina Lepri. Altogether theses sessions gathered ten presenters and among them our three other team members, Danilo Facca, Gábor Förköli, and Hanna Mazheika, plus, additionally, Luisa Brotto, one of our current Fellows.
On Thursday, April 1, Farkas Gábor Kiss discussed the ‘Travelling Libraries’ within the panel concentrated on the Circulation of Knowledge at Central European Universities in the Early Modern Period.
The possibility to attend such a big and extremely important event bringing together many scholars at diverse career levels was very motivating, incredibly encouraging, and purely refreshing. We definitely hope for more interactions as such.
